The 2021 Detroit PowerSchool Summit is on! This year’s 100% virtual event takes place on Wednesday October 13th and Thursday October 14th, 2021. The two day summit will include three courses or “tracks,” each broken up into four instructional sessions across the two day event. Virtual, interactive training is the essential ingredient in mastering PowerSchool SIS and is the key to working smarter, not harder. These comprehensive training courses are designed for all experience levels and positions including principals, counselors, registrars, and department heads.

What Is Offered
Participants can choose one of three different tracks. Each track has a morning session (8:30am-11:30am) and afternoon session (1:00pm-4:00pm) across two days for a total of four sessions which add up to 12 hours of training. All three tracks have been designed to incorporate best practices for virtual learning:
Track 1: PowerTeacher SIS Admins: Beyond The Basics
This track will focus on more experienced PowerSchool SIS skills for building admins, PowerSchool SIS administrators, and front office staff. Topics will include complex searches, formulas, and DAT coding, as well as basic object reports and form letter creation.
Track 2: PowerTeacherPro Gradebook: The Book On Grading
This track will focus on everything teachers using PowerTeacherPro Gradebook will need to master the school year (and a little extra). Beginners and more experienced users alike will gain value in reviewing topics like setting up grading and attendance, running basic reports, and searching for students. Part of this session will be dedicated to more advanced topics like updating standards and more!
Track 3: Start of Year Reporting in PowerSchool
This track will focus on best practices and processes in PowerSchool SIS for starting the school year, data hygiene, and upcoming Michigan State reporting cycles. Topics will include using search queries to review student data, preparing in PowerSchool SIS for General Collections and CRDC, and keeping data clean throughout the year. For beginners and intermediate users, this will get you on the right track to a clean reporting season.
Tuition for the Detroit PowerSchool Summit is $600 per person and includes: 2 Days of training, one-on-one assistance with specific questions, and all course materials.
