Administrative Assistant

Detroit-based entrepreneurs seeking Administrative/Personal Assistant. New hire will primarily support two principals with traditional administrative tasks at their two businesses as well as personal tasks. Principals are owners of a technology consulting firm (Macro Connect) and a building with co-working space (Hunt Street Station) that also serves as the HQ for the IT company. Assistant will also provide administrative support for the leadership team at the technology consulting firm.

This position will provide a front row seat to entrepreneurs in action! The new hire will have the opportunity sit in on most leadership team meetings and will get to see how decisions are made and the strategies for growing our two businesses. This could be a great position for someone who wants to eventually start their own business.

We are a small but growing team of 16 working out of a repurposed police station just outside of Eastern Market in Detroit. If we are working against a deadline, we do whatever it takes to meet it. We anticipate great results and we expect our employees to take that in stride and produce. Fluency with technology as well as a positive attitude in the face of adversity are musts. Attention to detail, the ability to triage and prioritize competing demands, extreme discretion, and a drive to get things done right the first time are also key attributes.

Minimum Requirements: • Access to a car and valid driver’s license

  • Willingness to work irregular days and hours/flexible schedule
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to be a self-starter who can be trusted to work largely unsupervised Relevant Skills and Responsibilities: • High level of competence in using Microsoft Windows
  • High level of competence in using Microsoft Office Products, especially Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/OneNote
  • High degree of comfort with technology
  • Precise verbal and written communication
  • Detailed notetaking with an ear for capturing to-do’s
  • Reading/classifying emails and moving action items to task lists

IT Support Specialist

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Technology support in an educational environment
  • Network infrastructure implementation and support: physical and virtual servers, routers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points
  • Cloud services implementation, migration, and support (Google G Suite and Office 365)
  • Chromebook implementation, management, and support
  • Physical repair of laptops and workstations including laptop screen replacement
  • Active Directory management
  • Training/Professional Development delivery a plus

  • Relevant degree and/or certifications or at least 2 years of experience in an IT support role

Summer IT Intern

Detroit-based technology consulting firm seeking to hire summer interns. Interns will work closely with full time employees providing on-site and remote technical support for our diverse group of clients, including: educational institutions, law firms, businesses, and non-profit organizations.

We are a small but growing team working out of a repurposed police station outside Eastern Market in Detroit that is focused on helping local schools and businesses achieve breakthrough performance by leveraging technology.
