Canine Campus
Canine Campus contracted Macro Connect to troubleshoot and improve on an existing webcam system for their pet care facility.
Situation:Canine Campus, a local dog day care provider and boarding facility, wanted to build stronger relationships with their clients by allowing them to watch their pets online. In 2006, they implemented a webcam system. However, the system had issues with reception, availability and coverage.
Solution:Macro Connect stepped in, assessed the environment, and came up with a list of recommendations to improve the system. We then installed an additional camera, updated and adjusted the current cameras, and provided detailed troubleshooting instructions to the Canine Campus staff. Authorized users can now log on to the Canine Campus website from any computer connected to the internet and view crisp, live video from the facility.
Benefits:
- Customers can check in on their animals anytime, from anywhere that has an internet connection
- Having webcams distinguishes a boarding facility from its competitors.
- Potential customers who view the company website can preview the facilities before bringing their pets.
- Supervisors can ensure that employees are following guidelines and that all pets are properly cared for at all times.
Webcams can be used for a variety of overt and covert business applications. A daycare can offer live feeds of their facility for concerned parents, store owners can monitor their store cameras from off-site, or any business can invite potential customers to preview the facility through their website.
