Macro Connect News:

October 2008 - Gordon, our Senior Consultant, recently passed another Microsoft certification exam. Gordon is now a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator with Messaging. At Macro Connect, we are constantly striving to maintain, update, and expand our skill set. We are very proud of Gordon's continued progress.

August 2008- Macro Connect moved into our new office in August. We are now located at 3434 Russell St., Suite 210 Detroit MI 48207 in the FD Lofts building (in Eastern Market). The building was originally constructed in 1917 as a repair depot for the Detroit Fire Department's emerging fleet of trucks (while horses were being phased out) and is on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Renovated by Urban Life Developments, the FD Lofts contains over 30 unique spaces that are a mix of live, live/work, and business tenants. October 2008- Support Our Capuchin Kitchen (or SOCK) is hosting an After Glow party in the South Cove Lounge in Ford Field. This first-time event takes place from 9:00pm -12:00am (following the annual dinner and auction) and will feature music by "That 80's Band." Matt is on the executive committee for this year's Capuchin Soup Kitchen SOCK dinner and auction and helped plan the After Glow event. The entire Macro team has served food at the Soup Kitchen and we can all attest to the worthiness and pressing nature of this cause. June 2008- Recently, Macro Connect hired two new employees, Greg Little and Paul Cameron. Greg will be working as a full-time consultant and Paul will be working as a wireless specialist and PowerSchool software consultant. We are very happy to have both Greg and Paul on board. Also, Doug Marsh, our Business Manager, was inducted as president of the Rotary Club of Detroit AM on Friday, July 11th. Doug asked that we make all of you aware of the Detroit AM Rotary Club's annual fundraiser, Eat @ Joe's. This year Eat @ Joe's will be held on August 7th from 5:00 - 8:00pm. Proceeds go to club projects benefiting children in Detroit. May 2008- Macro Connect donated hardware and consulting services to the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival to be sold at auction. Our auction item drew over $1000 that will benefit Great Lakes Chamber Music events.

April 2008- Macro Connect sponsored "Something Old, Something New", a concert put on by the Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings The concert featured a world premiere composition written by composer Matthew Tommasini.

Febuary 2008- Matt and Kevin Morin participated in the second annual Climb Detroit. They both climbed all 77 floors of the Renaissance Center to raise money for the American Lung Association.
